The recent Havasu Havoc MBAA was a great one for the team and Connor Rosborough earned his first win of the 2015 season. Here’s a little more from Connor’s experience along with a quick Q&A:
The race at Lake Havasu turned out to be very exciting! I was privileged to secure a win in Category II for AZ Devo and supporting sponsors. It is great to have my father and younger brother there as always! Hayden (my younger brother) was fortunate to take the win for the Thin Air Racing team in Juniors 12-14! Especially a big thanks to TJ Woodruff and Arizona Devo for amazing support and training!
What did you think of the race course and what was your favorite section of the trail?
The race course was outstanding and had some challenging features. My favorite parts of the course were the swoops after the fire road because they had a pretty sweet flow to them and you could really get into the corners with your bike.
Where were you able to get away from your competitors? What were you thinking when you went for the lead?
I was able to get away from the other guys while going through the wash, about three quarters of the way through the last lap. I was just thinking to myself, “I have to go now!”. The extra hard effort payed off in the end with a victory!
Your younger brother Hayden, also won his race at the Havasu Havoc. Will you and Hayden both be racing at the upcoming White Tanks race?
Yes, we’ll both be racing at White Tanks and we can’t wait for another outstanding MBAA event!
